Dear Reader,
Today a blog has been created by the scholars affiliated with Centre of East Asian Studies of Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. The primary attention of this blog will be towards catering the needs and wishes of the previous or existing research scholars of this centre. Additionally, it will also function as a reference point for any scholar from any part of the world for East Asian Studies. The main components of this blog would be a section on the current events of the centre, profile of the students, publication of students' papers and reviews and a major portion on issues and commentaries related to any concept or incident related to East Asia.

I complteley welcome this initiative as i do feel that there is need for our centre's activities to be more visible. In fact keeping up with times, the mailing list and the blog would be of greater help to students in terms of not only taking our academics forward in a fruitful manner, but also provid eus with new vistas to contribute in our research areas.
